The next presidential elections in the United States may lead to a split in American society and a new civil war. This opinion was expressed by a professor at Harvard University Neil Ferguson.
The scientist draws attention to the internal contradictions that are intensifying in the country, writes RIA Novosti news agency referring to The Sunday Times. In his opinion, the “cultural conflict” is becoming aggravated. Ferguson is convinced that the cases when bombs were sent to former US President Barack Obama and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton give reason to think about a possible civil war in the States.

The president replied that he would be "very happy" to fight again with Clinton in the fight for the presidency. “I do not see anyone with whom I would not want to compete [in the elections],” said Trump. However, he noted that the situation may change.
Clinton on Saturday, in an interview with the Recode website, asked if she planned to participate in the fight for the White House in 2020, initially gave a negative answer. But then she admitted that she "would like to be president". The former first lady in an interview also stressed that she intends to do everything in her power so that after the elections in November 2020 the President of the United States becomes a Democrat. At the same time, as she made it clear, before making any decisions, you must first wait for the results of the mid-term elections to the US Congress, which will be held next week.
