The Russian T-90 tank can fight in almost all conditions, it exhibits miracles of survivability and is invulnerable to most types of modern weapons. This conclusion was made by American experts, comparing the different types of armored vehicles involved in the Syrian conflict.
According to National Interest, in 2015, 30 T-90 units were transferred to Syria by Russia as part of military assistance in the fight against terrorists of the banned Islamic State. As a result of the battles, Russian tanks caused a lot of problems for extremists, while they themselves suffered minimal losses.


The upgraded dynamic protection and active protection system installed on the tank have proven to be effective, reports the publication. At the same time, modern American anti-tank systems did not always help the militants. Which, however, quite successfully coped with the German "Leopards" and the American "Abrams". “Only Russia manages to create tanks that work flawlessly in any conditions,” the publication says. “Russians really have the most enduring tanks in the world.” And Russia is selling its tanks to our potential opponents. ”
Meanwhile, the American media previously treated Russian armored vehicles more coolly. In particular, examining the main battle tank of Russia of the new generation T-14 “Armata”, the experts agreed that the tank was too expensive, which indicated the impossibility of establishing its mass production, reminds the “Russian Planet”.
The T-90 tank is a deep modernization of the main T-72 tank. Both types of machines are designed, manufactured and upgraded in Nizhny Tagil at Uralvagonzavod. The export version of the T-90 is the T-90SM - these machines are supplied to the Syrian army as part of the Russian military technical assistance.
