The statement of the head of NATO headquarters talks about preparing for war

Statements by the head of NATO’s international military headquarters, Lieutenant-General Jan Brooks, about the need to improve the logistics of the alliance in Europe testify to the intensive preparation of the North Atlantic bloc for war with Russia - Moscow’s response to these aggressive plans will be thoughtful and asymmetric, told National defense "Igor Korotchenko.

Earlier, Brooks, in an interview with Defense News magazine, said that in the event of a clash with Russia, the European countries - NATO members will face serious problems related to logistics. The general noted that it is necessary to increase the capacity of the main ports, to find highways that can withstand the weight of military equipment.
"These statements prove that NATO continues to prepare for war, and at an accelerating pace. General Brooks's words are a call to remove all obstacles to create conditions, if such a need arises, to ensure smooth logistics and unimpeded deployment of Alliance strike forces near the borders with Russia. Obviously, these appeals will be implemented in the form of concrete decisions, and this is extremely dangerous, "Korotchenko noted.
The expert stressed that the Russian military-political leadership will not disregard these statements and further practical actions by NATO, while the response will be asymmetrical and thoughtful, because today Moscow should not be drawn into a "frontal" arms race, which is what West.
“I believe that the response of the Russian Federation will be asymmetrical, but at the same time relatively low-cost - we cannot be drawn into the arms race, but we cannot leave NATO’s plans without attention,” said Korotchenko.
The interlocutor of the agency expressed the opinion that in the current situation Russia needs to multiply increase the production of Caliber cruise missiles, which can be placed on different sea carriers. Thus, the Russian Federation will increase the potential of strategic non-nuclear deterrence, which will become the guarantor of the country's security along with the nuclear triad.
