The
government of Great Britain has no evidence of the intervention of
foreign states, including Russia, in the political processes of the
kingdom. With
this position, the Cabinet spoke in response to the report of the
Committee on Digital Technologies, Culture, Sport and Media of the
country called "Fake news".
The
text of the statement states that the government did not find evidence
of “successful use of disinformation” to influence the democratic
processes in the UK. Despite this, the authorities intend to continue active work on developing a tough policy to solve the problem, reports RT.
Earlier,
the British Foreign Ministry announced plans to combat disinformation
and harmful influence, the source of which is allegedly Russia. For this, the Foreign Ministry plans to use the sites of major international summits, reports the National News Service.
