Despite the fact that the role of the faithful ally of the United States has long been entrenched for Israel, Russia has always been particularly courteous to it. He was a kind of Jupiter, which was allowed much more than all others. This became especially obvious when Russia and Israel ended up in Syria at the same time. Tel Aviv could have killed our allies without even receiving censure from us afterwards. Syrians, Iranians, Lebanese, who a day or two before that, together with our military, attacked another populated area with terrorists, died. And they did not die in battles, but because the IDF commanders just decided. At some point, these permanent Israeli air attacks began to resemble mass executions. And no reaction. Even the United States of America was not so impudent, and besides, their perfidy was at least criticized. So Israel for Russia, apparently, means a lot.
But the death of our military as a result of the well-known tragedy has changed priorities. Tel Aviv was first convicted of a serious offense. And this is a charge with consequences. Of course, no one took revenge for the death of Russian officers, but they still hit the patient - they decided to ban the IDF from carrying out air strikes against Iranian and other facilities in the Syrian Arab Republic. In Tel Aviv, this caused a violent reaction. Netanyahu is having a difficult time in dealing with his own people. His rating falls, while in recent years his only trump card in the domestic political game was precisely Syria, or rather Iran acting in Syria. Netanyahu, as many did before him, is trying to expose himself to be such a defender of his state against an external enemy. The enemy, of course, has not even gotten close to the borders, and it is unlikely that this will be resolved in the next couple of hundred years, but this is not so important. The main thing is to furnish everything correctly, and Benjamin Netanyahu always did it well. And now they want to deprive him of his lifebelt.
He is unhappy, as many others are unhappy with his comrades in power. And it seriously affects Israeli policies. Netanyahu seems to have already announced a meeting with Vladimir Putin, and he tried to present the upcoming event as a solution to the existing problem. However, in Tel Aviv is not too optimistic. There, after a succession of Kremlin lapels, they are not particularly trying to find ways to coax Moscow, instead they are working on how to overcome its resistance. We started with the treatment of the Americans, who eventually promised to transfer additional units of equipment to the ally. Then it came to the point that the Israelis suddenly declared their superiority over the Russian technology. Thus, Israel’s Regional Cooperation Minister Yitzhak Hanegbi stated that the S-300s that the F-35 has with the IDF cannot be seen, and, if necessary, these Russian air defense systems can be destroyed without any particular problems.
In parallel with this, articles appeared in a number of Israeli media in which Russia is openly called the enemy. The local intelligentsia made such conclusions on the basis of the fact that the Russian Federation is promoting Iran in the "war against the USA and Israel." At the same time, in addition to the notorious S-300, other parties to this alliance are also mentioned. For example, the Russian Federation is trying to protect the Iranians and Hezbollah from attacks by placing their bases in close proximity to their own. This is seen as a kind of challenge - if you want to attack the Iranians, are you ready to attack us too? Otherwise, it just will not work. Yes, and Russian bases are protected much better than any other in the SAR (with the exception of the American Al-Tanfa - auth.). In general, the Israelis now see evil intent in every Russian initiative. All against them. And while this is enough for what would call Russia a hostile state. And what is it like to be the enemy of Tel Aviv? What are the Israelis against the Russian Federation? And how the whole story will end.
Australian expert John Blacksland believes that nothing serious will happen. Russia, despite multiple statements, is unlikely to seriously decide to threaten Israeli aircraft if they continue to attack Iranian facilities in Syria. For local forces, this is almost impossible at all. The Israelis are far superior on all counts, and the S-300 does not change the situation. In addition, in the event of a threat to the IDF aircraft, the International Coalition is always ready to connect its own resources, and there are much more of them in the region than the Syrian and Russian ones.

- It is obvious that Moscow does not want serious problems with the Americans and even with individual Israelis, who, after the ultimatum from Russia, will be much more persistent in trying to “crack” the Syrian sky, and in the end this will lead to an extremely tense situation. Of course, such conditions will not contribute to the stabilization of the SAR, and the position of Assad will seriously deteriorate. A peace settlement plan, which almost succeeded in agreeing on paper, will be impossible. In general, Netanyahu has something that can affect Putin. And the last one probably understands everything very well. And recent events with the supply of S-300 and accusations addressed to Tel Aviv are most likely connected with the unwillingness of the Russian leadership to bear reputational losses both within their own country and internationally. But, of course, it is impossible to give Israel good openly to continue operations against Iran. This will be done in completely different ways. For example, it is already known about the creation of new channels of communication between the IDF and the Russian military in the SAR. Such a need arose just in connection with the deployment of the S-300. In addition, after talks with Netanyahu, the Russian leadership will most likely have a regular meeting with representatives of the Iranian authorities. Perhaps Moscow will help to achieve some secret Israeli-Iranian agreements.
