The EU has
expanded its sanctions against the DPRK and has entered into the list,
according to the decision of the UN Security Council, three merchant
ships suspected of transporting petroleum products, according to a
decision published on Friday.
"The UN Security
Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 1718 (2006)
designated three vessels on October 16 to ban entry into ports. The
annex to the decision of the EU Council should be amended accordingly,"
the document says.
All three listed vessels are suspected of transporting oil.
Earlier,
the UN Security Council unanimously introduced new sanctions against
the DPRK, which significantly limited the export and import capabilities
of Pyongyang.
