From the US
envoy to NATO, Kay Bailey Hutchison, a statement was made by the States
to prepare to destroy weapons developed by Russia, which, in the opinion
of the Americans, "violates" the Treaty on the Elimination of
Intermediate-Range and Short-Range Missiles (INF). This was reported by leading US media.
In
the near future, Washington intends to consider possible options for
striking even before the readiness of Russian weapons for use, if the
Kremlin continues to continue the "secret creation of cruise missile
systems prohibited by the treaty."
"In
this case, we will explore the possibility of destroying a rocket that
could strike at any of our countries," Hutcheson quotes Reuters news
agency as saying.
Russian media outlets accepted the statement of their overseas colleagues as a reason for launching a missile strike on Russia.
Moscow
has repeatedly stressed that our country complies with all the
provisions of the INF Treaty and INF Treaty 2. At the same time, many
members of NATO, in particular the United States of America, violate it
regularly.
Journalists from the Federal News Agency previously received a comment from one of the State Duma deputies. From
the comment of the parliamentarian it follows that Russia decides for
itself which missiles to launch, where to deploy them. All this is the business of Russia itself. Western
colleagues do not take into account the fact that the NATO alliance is
getting closer to the borders of the Russian Federation. Leading
Russian experts unanimously declare that the accusations of Russia of
“breach of the INF Treaty” are only the beginning of a whole PR
performance to discredit Moscow.
