According to the Russian military expert, the main problems for the American shipbuilding industry were the corruption component, as well as the transfer of production to third parties.
He noted that the US aircraft carriers lack new serviceable F-35 fighters, the ships themselves, due to constant repairs, are expensive to operate and at the same time are defenseless from hypersonic anti-ship missiles.
The author of the publication stated that the situation with aircraft carriers can be considered the beginning of a systemic crisis of the US military-industrial complex. He added that the United States is also lagging behind in the development of EW complexes, new ICBMs and controlled sound technologies.
