At
least 40 people were injured in an accident with a bus in the San
Fernando Valley in the south of the US state of California. The accident occurred on Sunday local time and on Monday night Moscow time.
The bus was driving on the 405 expressway, but at some point it collided with several cars. As a result, the front of the vehicle was badly damaged. Passengers were selected through emergency windows. Also in the accident was strongly dented one of the cars.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, hospitalization was required for 25 injured. Five of them - three women and two men aged 30 to 88 years - are in serious condition.
What exactly was the cause of the accident is still unknown. The movement of the motorway is still blocked. A multi-kilometer traffic jam formed on the highway, reports Fox News.
