Doctor
of Military Sciences Konstantin Sivkov said that strikes of
hyper-caliber with nuclear weapons on dangerous geophysical zones of the
United States would lead to a "guaranteed destruction" of the country. The president of the Academy of Geopolitical Problems spoke about this in an article for the Military Industrial Courier.
The
expert is convinced that Russia should not continue the traditions of
the USSR on the issue of rivalry with America on nuclear weapons,
reports Nation News. Instead,
he offers an “asymmetric answer”: Moscow has all the technology to
create nuclear ammunition with a caliber of more than a hundred megatons
in TNT.
According
to Sivkov, back in 1961, the Soviet Union had a product weighing 58
megatons, “quite suitable for combat use,” writes “Constantinople.” He
proposes to create and use "40-50 such warheads, for example, for
ultra-long torpedoes" that reach "critically dangerous" zones in the
United States (for example, before the rifts of the Pacific coast or
Yellowstone supervolcano). In
his opinion, this will destroy the States and the entire transnational
elite, TV channel 360 reports. But at the same time, the military expert
added that “a tsar-bomb is not a panacea.”
Earlier,
"URA.RU" wrote that the president of the United States of America,
Donald Trump, had announced that the country was building up a nuclear
arsenal. Prior to that, he spoke of the intention
to withdraw the United States from the treaty on the elimination of
medium-range and short-range missiles, since Russia allegedly did not
comply with it. Moscow said that such a decision would not lead to anything good, but would only make the world more dangerous. On
October 22, US National Security Advisor to the President John Bolton
and Russian Security Secretary Nikolai Patrushev discussed the arms
agreement during the talks in Moscow.
