New equipment of the German army was unsuitable

Only 39 percent of military equipment supplied to the German armed forces in 2017 is usable. This was reported by the newspaper Die Welt.
Last year, the Bundeswehr received 97 units of large-size military equipment; of them, according to the Ministry of Defense of Germany, only 38 can be used. At the same time, the goal that the military leadership of the country wants to achieve is the constant combat readiness of 70 percent of all weapons systems.
Most of the military are concerned about the A400M transport aircraft and the Puma BMP: only 4 of the 8 delivered aircraft and 27 of 71 BMP are currently usable. Responding to a request from Mattias Hoen, a member of the Left Party, Secretary of State of the Defense Ministry Peter Tauber said that the quality of these machines “can be improved further,” and added that “this is an industry debt that she must fulfill as soon as possible.”

The situation with other types of equipment is no better: only two out of seven Tigr combat helicopters are ready for combat sorties, four out of seven NH90 transporters. Of the four Eurofighter multi-purpose fighters, only one can be used right now, the other three returned to the factory to replace the electronics.

In the summer of 2018, the Chief of Staff of the German Air Force stated that the fleet of German combat aircraft was in a deplorable state and was not ready for hostilities.

Trump ordered to prepare a response to Russia under the INF Treaty

The American president is preparing a response to the violations allegedly committed by Russia under the INF Treaty. The task to prepare the appropriate document Donald Trump gave the Secretary of State to the US ministries.

Earlier, the American leader said that compliance with the Treaty on the Elimination of Intermediate-Range and Shorter-Range Missiles by the States is out of the question, since Moscow does not comply with it.

Trump also believes that China should be included in the agreement. In the Kremlin, in response, they demanded a more detailed explanation from the United States, the Russia 24 TV channel reported. And the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry stressed that any action in this area will meet with opposition
