Moscow
is open to discussing the full range of bilateral relations with
Washington and is ready to consider the possibility of a new meeting
between Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump. This
was announced by the head of the North American Department of the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Georgy Borisenko.
“If
there is an interest from the American side to continue such a
dialogue, and President Trump seems to have expressed interest in this,
then of course we will consider when and where this can be done,” the
Russian diplomat told RIA Novosti.
Borisenko
also did not rule out the likelihood of a meeting between the two
leaders at events to celebrate the centenary of the end of the First
World War, which will be held in Paris on November 11. The
diplomat said that contact between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump is
possible if the presidents participate in the same event.
At
the same time, according to the representative of the Russian Foreign
Ministry, there have not yet been such requests from the American side.
