According to the portal DEBKAfile, the secret services said that Iranian specialists would control the S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems delivered to Russia by Syria. An Israeli resource specializing in military intelligence writes that Moscow allegedly initially planned to entrust the Iranian specialists with managing the Syrian air defense systems. The United States and Israel accused Russia of “deceiving” the S-300.
The portal writes that Russia delivered to Syria complexes of the same modification S-300PMU-2, which Iran received from Russia in 2016. In addition, Israeli propaganda accused Moscow of allegedly transferring Iranian operators to Syria.
The site said that Moscow allegedly wanted to keep silent about their plans. Recall that in October, Russia completed deliveries of S-300 to Syria. SAM Syria received after repair and free of charge. At the same time, the Ministry of Defense stated that the training of Syrian specialists would require three months.
Israel and the United States have repeatedly blamed Russia because of the supply of S-300 to Syria. So these countries are trying to justify their possible attacks on the complexes delivered to Syria.
